One mechanism covers a whole class of tasks: you state what you are looking for and on what terms, then crawling runs itself and selection follows rules rather than taste. Today it works as a grant-call radar for a live client: it reads directions and brings matches with deadlines computed. The same instrument watches procurement and tenders, listings and offers, changes in third-party documents, and mentions of your name. The cost is traffic and storage, so the quota counts sources per day.
